Project Description:
intended to create an economic and social safety net for poorest of the poor/ or most vulnerable households living in Medadumbara, and Akurana DS divisions in Kandy district to help them survive the worst economic crisis in Sri Lanka. This is a multi-stakeholder program including the central and local governments, civil society, community leaders and private sector. Through this project, 65 poorest of the poor individuals from Akurana and Medadumbara DS divisions were provided with equipment and machinery to start and run home-based self-employment ventures.
